AVOD (Advertising video on demand)
A business model for delivering over-the-top content (OTT):
Advertising video on demand (AVOD) is a type of service where users do not need to pay directly to access video content. The costs of this service are covered by advertisers, who pay for the display of their ads to viewers. Users "pay" in essence by giving their attention to the ads.
Example: YouTube provides free content and covers its hosting costs and other expenses with the revenue generated from the ads shown to viewers.
