In three words: Creative – Caring – Loyal

Decaf! Two years ago, I quit caffeine because it kept me from sleeping. But I couldn’t give up the taste and comfort of coffee… Same ritual, fewer heart palpitations.

Short introduction
- What are you proud of?
- I’m proud of the fact that once I set my mind to something, I go all in. I’m one of those people with a thousand hobbies. Every few months, I dive into something new. And once the idea takes hold, I don’t let go. I gather all the materials, spend every evening watching YouTube tutorials, and completely make it my own. What makes me proud is that I don’t give up easily and I do whatever it takes to teach myself something, as long as I truly believe in it. When I commit, I commit fully. Can’t wait to see what my next ‘obsession’ will be!
- In your free time, what do you like to do most?
- Being happily at home and truly unwinding. Since the Covid period, I’ve realised I’m someone who recharges best at home, away from too much stimulation. So just give me a book in the garden, a creative project — or simply the joy of doing nothing at all.
- Did you know that I…
- ... I was originally a twin during my mom’s pregnancy? Sadly, the other baby was lost early on.
- Where would you go in a time machine and with whom/why?
- There are so many moments I could choose… But if I’m being realistic: since I’m in the middle of home renovations, I’d most like to fast-forward to the moment our house is finally finished (even if that’s not too far off anymore). That alone would take a huge weight off my shoulders. And honestly, I can’t wait to come home, do absolutely nothing, and just enjoy my own space.
Ite's Recommendations
- What is your favourite movie?
- It might sound strange, because I’m usually not into romantic films. Give me mystery, murder, detectives... and yet, The Holiday has been my favourite movie since I was a teenager. It’s on my list every Christmas, and I always look forward to watching it. To the point that I know several lines by heart and say them out loud during the film (apologies in advance to anyone watching it with me)!
- What book would you recommend?
- Just a little shout-out to a colleague of mine who recently published her first book: Shadow Song by Eline Hereygers. Definitely worth a quick Google — and if you’re into fantasy romance, give it a read!
- Can you recommend a good restaurant?
- For the food lovers among us visiting Antwerp, Jerom and Materia are hands-down my favourites. Highly recommended!
- Do you have another cool tip for us?
- Why not look up some one-pot meals? They're life-changing and there’s barely any washing up ;-)
Last but not least
- What is your favourite quote?
- I was just talking to someone about this the other day — I’m the kind of person who often reassures herself with “everything always works out.” And this well-known quote fits me perfectly: "Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."
- Who would you like to see in this section?
- Any one of my colleagues at Transfer Media!
