From now on, Kerknet.be, Kerk&Leven and publisher Halewijn merge under the new name Otheo. In addition to the name change, this merger within the Katholieke Mediagroup is also coupled with a rebranding and a new style and approach, both towards existing and new target groups. All content that could be found on Kerknet.be will be bundled on the new website Otheo.be.
Although the main Kerknet.be website will change into Otheo.be, for the time being certain microsites, such as those of parishes, pastoral units and other organisations, will remain available under the old Kerknet domain. Among other things, interested parties can find information about celebrations, parish activities and other services specifically linked to the church community.
The weekly magazine Kerk&Leven will continue to be published under that name.
New within the Otheo platform is the quarterly Otheo magazine, which, from 2025, will be published in March, June, September and December, and will have 80 pages full of stories of faith, hope and love.
