On World Radio Day, Radio Contact Max was officially launched on DAB+ and online. RTL Belgium's new French-language station is dedicated to listeners aged 35 and over, bringing music from the '70s to the ‘00s, with an emphasis on hits from the ‘80s and ‘90s. The music format includes pop, dance, R&B, rock and pop rock, of which about a third is French-speaking.
In addition to non-stop music, Contact Max offers news bulletins and presented programmes in the morning and in the afternoon. The station is available on the second DAB+ network for Wallonia and replaces the former DAB Info channel. DPG Media will handle the station’s commercial operation.
With this launch, RTL Belgium expands its radio portfolio even further with a complementary station aimed at an audience that has outgrown Radio Contact. As a result, Contact Max positions itself as a new player in the nostalgic music offering.
