Short introduction
- What are you proud of?
- Marie and Camille, my two daughters, of course.
- In your free time, what do you like to do most?
- I walk. Return to a slow pace, take the time to observe, not be connected to any device. In short, free my mind, and just enjoy.
- Did you know that I…
- I was lucky enough, in 2022, to walk from Martigny in Switzerland to Rome. A 7 week-journey along the Via Francigena. Total disconnection, wonderful encounters, and landscapes you only discover by walking. A daily delight.
- Where would you go in a time machine and with whom/why?
- I'm fascinated by accounts of polar expeditions. So I would go back to the beginning of the 20th century and accompany Amundsen, Scott, Shackleton, Charcot or Gerlache on their Antarctic explorations.
Ludovic's Recommendations
- What is your favourite movie?
- I hesitate between all of Quentin Tarantino's films and all those of the Coen brothers. So I choose both. True, that's a lot of movies, but what a blast!
- What book would you recommend?
- An atlas. The best way to travel from the comfort of your living room.
- Can you recommend a good restaurant?
- 'La Tantina de la Playa', in Bidart, not far from Biarritz. You will forget the distance as you discover the setting (facing the ocean, above a surfing beach), and sample a fabulous Basque cuisine. Change of scenery guaranteed.
- Do you have another cool tip for us?
- When I go to Mechelen, I like to have lunch at De Vleeshalle. That is thanks to Anne Borghers, a former colleague and now a great friend of mine, who always has excellent advice, and not only about restaurants.
Last but not least
- Who would you like to see in this section?
- Over the last few months, I've had the opportunity to carry out an assignment for CIM. It was an opportunity to work with Koenraad Deridder, whom I've known for a long time without ever having worked together. Above and beyond his impressive expertise, I really appreciated the way he brings people together, finds solutions and always sees the glass as half full. I already knew that, but now I had it confirmed: Koenraad is a man of great professional and human qualities.
